Life revolves around music. Or maybe... music revolves around life. The chorus to a great song by Gym Class Heroes:
My heart's a stereo
It beats for you, so listen close
Hear my thoughts in every note
Make me your radio
And turn me up when you feel low
This melody was meant for you
Just sing along to my stereo

My Childhood Piano Limericks
When I was young, I wrote these limericks about the piano:
My fingers move up and down the keys
As I play my favorite piece.
Each note that is played
Drifts softly away
As the sound begins to decrease.
I feel as though I could reach the moon;
I don't want this feeling to end so soon.
This music so sweet
Takes me off my feet
As I listen to its soft tune.
This music is a nice thing for one
To sit and reflect on the good things they've done.
It makes happy thoughts,
Ties your stomach in knots
As you feel the warmth of the sun.
Everything around me, so calm and content,
Sometimes I wonder what this song really meant.
I feel at peace
And so much at ease
As I listen to the song that is sent.
Sweet is the sound of the song that I hear,
It lifts away anger, hatred, and fear.
The notes that I see
Make me feel so free
As I listen to the music so dear.
My fingers move up and down the keys
As I play my favorite piece.
Each note that is played
Drifts softly away
As the sound begins to decrease.
I feel as though I could reach the moon;
I don't want this feeling to end so soon.
This music so sweet
Takes me off my feet
As I listen to its soft tune.

As you feel the warmth of the sun.
Everything around me, so calm and content,
Sometimes I wonder what this song really meant.
I feel at peace
And so much at ease
As I listen to the song that is sent.
Sweet is the sound of the song that I hear,
It lifts away anger, hatred, and fear.
The notes that I see
Make me feel so free
As I listen to the music so dear.
A World Without Music
Living day by day with no music to play is pure torture to the soul
Without music, the words slip from harmony and manuscript read between the lines
You need music to survive to keep the heart alive to keep it pumping and up to date
It smiles, hurts and cries, it sings down memory lane lullabies, it brings a mixture of emotions
it cleanses, releases, inspires, composes, writes and admires and appreciates the different kinds of music
A world without music is a world without your soul

Music is Everything
Music is everything. It is something that fills me with life and contentment. When I sit down at my piano and play, I feel happy and complacent. Doing so relieves my stresses and my bad moods, fills me with a feeling of ease, and most importantly it provides me with the fulfillment of my own needs. When I got married, it was as if I let go of certain things that made me 'me'. I stopped doing the things I loved most and focused more on the things that me AND my husband loved. I realized that though those things made me very happy and close to my husband, I was giving up my own passions and the things that define ME. I talked to him about this and he ended up buying me a beautiful piano. Though life continues to happen and things get in the way of me playing, I do my best to sit down often and play my heart out in order to keep myself feeling fulfilled and happy.
